The Art of Kosoul Chanthakoummane

Kosoul Chanthakoummane, who was executed by the State of Texas on August 17, 2022, spent his last 15 years on Texas’ death row channeling his energy into his original artwork. He found much of his inspiration in his family’s own story of coming to the United States as Laotian refugees escaping the Vietnam war and current social and political events that are happening around us.
